Everyone Has a Gift

I’ve always believed that everyone has something to offer.
Not necessarily a credential. Not necessarily a title. A gift.
Some people have a gift for listening.
Some create with their hands. Some understand the body.
Some make music, grow food, prepare beautiful meals, teach, advocate, comfort, or simply have a way of making another person feel seen.

After years of working in healthcare, I’ve learned how important expertise is. We need physicians, nurses, therapists, medications, procedures, and evidence-based care.
But I’ve also learned that living well is about more than healthcare.
Sometimes nourishment looks like a meal prepared with intention. Support might come from someone sitting beside you during a difficult appointment. Creating might mean working with clay, tending a garden, making music, writing, moving your body, or making a home feel like your own.
These things may seem small.
I don’t think they are.
They are pieces of what makes us human.
That belief is part of why I chose the name Wild Ginger Healing Collective.
Collective is intentional.
I don't believe one person, profession, or approach holds everything another person needs. I believe we bring different knowledge, experiences, talents, and perspectives to the table and something meaningful can happen when those gifts come together.
This weekend, I’ll have the opportunity to be surrounded by healers, artists, therapists, makers, and people creating their own ways of caring for others. It feels especially meaningful as Wild Ginger begins to take root.
Because perhaps healing isn't always about finding one answer.
Sometimes it's about finding the right people.
Nourish. Support. Create.
And perhaps that's the most important part: we all have something to bring to the collective.
